Our Wedding

June 5, 2004
My wedding day is on the list of the best days of my life. If you would have asked me two years prior if I thought this was going to take place EVER, my answer would have been no. Thankfully I reunited with my high school sweetheart. He is the best thing that ever came into my life. He gives me love everyday and has blessed me with three beautiful children.

Amanda and Jessica smiling for the camera at the wedding. Everyone had a great time. Fod, drinks, family, and dancing all night.

Here is my dad walking me down the aisle. I was crying already. Boo hoo! I was very emotional that day. I was over come with so many different emotions that day but happy that Robert and I would be husband and wife.

The cake was made by my Aunt Carmen. Thank you to my Aunt's Carmen and Yolie for helping me with planning the wedding. I love you both.

A few more guests, my cousin's Albert, Kameren and Paul.

Our first dance. I can't remember what song it was. I was pretty upset because the song I wanted the DJ forgot and so now I can't remember what our song is.

Paul catching the garter. He was also the next to get married. Funny how things work out.

Favorite Things

A few of my favorite things are Cold Stone, Jamba Juice, Old Navy, Coach, and Target. I also love to shop at The Children's Place at Ontario Mills. They have the best deals and cute things for both girls and boys.

I have a total of three Coach bags, but this is by far my favorite. It is black and beautiful. I think this is the bag that I have used the most. I am known to change hand bags every month. This will be my favorite until I buy my next Coach bag.

Here is The Founder's Favorite. This is my favorite. Every time we go to Coldstone this is what I get. I have been to Coldstone in Cali as well as Myrtle Beach, SC. I love it!

Night Time & Play Time

Today after Christopher, Vanessa, and I got home, Victoria stayed at Grandma's house since she fell asleep, Christopher went to his bed and went to sleep. He was very tired today. Grandma said he did not take a nap today. Vanessa on the other hand did not g to sleep until about 10:15.
She was having fun playing and smiling. She is a very happy baby. She is wearing Christopher's Diego PJs because she got poop on her outfit.

Sunday and Cereal

On Sunday afternoon the kids were snacking on Lucky Charms. My children love cereal, it's the one sweet they get once and a while. Look how happy Christopher looks.

Kayla's American Girl Party

Myself along with Ali, Karrie, Melissa, Gricel, and Elena were invited to Kayla's American Girl Birthday party at the American Girl Place at The Grove in Los Angeles. It was a girls dream. They had dolls everywhere. I know I would have loved it if I were still a young girl. Why did we not have this when I was a child? If your not familiar with American Girl here is a little history for you.
The American Girl product line was first introduced in 1986 when they released their first catalog. The company motto is to "celebrate girls" and their products have allowed girls of all ages to thrive from preschool age up to teens. American Girl books, dolls, clothes, toys and accessories have become a staple in homes across America. The first product American Girl brought to market were the historical characters - Kaya, Felicity, Josefina, Kirsten, Addy, Samantha, Kit, and Molly. These characters came as 18 inch dolls and were featured in books. The historical dolls help teach young girls about the trials and tribulations of pioneer/colonial life and how things used to be. The American Girl Magazine was launched in 1992 as an ad free publication that had goals of shaping young girls with increased self-esteem through positive articles and stories. The magazine has flourished and has over 650K subscribers. In the mid 1990's, the Just Like You line of 18-inch dolls was introduced to "represent the individuality and diversity of today’s American girls". For girls aged 3-6, American Girl came up with huggable baby dolls called Bitty Baby to "encourage nurturing behavior". The American Girl dolls are sold both online and in retail shops like American Girl Place.

Here is the Birthday girl Kayla blowing out the candles on her cake. Kayla loves the American Girl dolls. She has at least 6 dolls, and these dolls are no cheap. The run about $90.

Alisa and Kayla smiling for the camera. In case people don't know Alisa is my boss and Kayla is her older daughter.

While I was at The American Girl Place I purchased a Bitty Baby doll for Victoria. When I brought it home to her that day she was so happy. This is now here favorite doll. She named her Mary. Next year for her Birthday I am going to buy her an American Girl doll.

Kids First Fishing Trip

Robert and the kids went out a fishing trip on the lake with Aaron, Sonia, Johanna, and Gaby. This was their first time fishing on the lake. They looked so cute. I heard everyone had a good time. Victoria caught eight fish and Christopher caught tree.

Say cheese! Victoria is a big HAM. She loves to have pictures taken of her.

Look how cute Jo and Gaby look together, although Gaby does not look too happy.

Here are two little cuties. They love to hang out together.

Johanna, Sonia, and Gaby fishing. That's Aaron's arm putting bait on the pool.

Yuck! Yuck! Poor fishies. They did taste good though.

Kids Birthday Party

We threw a birthday party for Victoria and Christopher at Sugarloaf Park. The kids had a ton of fun with all the kids who came to celebrate with us. Grandma and Grandpa prepared all the food. The menu was pulled pork sandwiches, macaroni salad, grandmas famously delicious chili beans, chips, and salsa. We had treats for the kids as well. There was animal crackers, cookies, and fruit. The party theme was Jungle Safari. It was very windy that day at the park so all of my decorations were ruined. The party still turned out fab anyway.

Here they are opening their gift. They received many nice gifts. They received scooters, toys, and tons of clothes. Victoria was excited because she got 7 Barbies. Barbies are her current favorite toys to play with. Barbies were my favorite when I was a girl.

Here is a picture of Christopher with Tanya, she was helping him ride his new scooter, given to him by Grandma and Grandpa. He looked so cute in his helmet and protective gear.

Victoria was excited to ride her new scooter. In this picture Daddy was getting her ready so she could take off on her new pink Radio Flyer.

Here is my beautiful baby girl Vanessa Rae Velasquez. She behaved very well at the birthday. My cousin Amanda watched her while I entertained and played games with the kids.

Here is a picture of Johanna's niece Andie and my little cousin Nicole. They look like they have know one another for years, when they had just meet that day.

Mini Road Trip

Today we took a little two hour road trip to my aunt and unlce's house down the hill. The kids went swimming and had a blast. Christopher was swimming around on his own, with a vest and water wings, but he thought he was a big boy. Victoria on the other hand was being a baby and wanted to float in the baby's floatie, so we let her. She was having fun sitting in it, so what's the harm. This was Vanessa's first time in a swimming pool and she enjoyed every second of it. She didn't cry once.

The kids also enjoyed the drive down. We stopped midway at our favorite burger joint and we all had our usuals. Christopher bogarted the fries like he always does and daddy ate his pastrami with a big smile on his face. The kids love stopping there, because at the end of our meal they give us all free ice cream cones.

Christopher was having fun with cousin Albert in the pool. He was jumping in the pool with no fear. He loves water, I wonder if he was a fish in a past life.

Here is Daddy and his two beautiful girls. They love him so much. So much so he wants to add two more children to our family. I say no right now, but we will see. God may choose to bless us with one or two more.

Uncle Jonathan decided to join us for the ride. Here he is with his favorite nephew Christopher.

After long day of swimming we headed back home to the mountains. On the way we stopped at our favorite pizzeria Petrillos Pizza. They have the tastiest pizza on earth. If you are ever in Glendora or San Gabriel California you need to stop in and try it.

Doesn't this pizza look yummy! My favorite is pepperoni, olives, green peppers, and mushrooms.

Boulder Bay Park

Victoria had fun playing in the lake. She loves the water, except when she needs to have a bath.

Christopher had fun playing in the sand with Victoria. They sat in the sand and played for a few hours getting dirty and making a mess. They also enjoyed eating watermelon, which grandma brought just for them. They love their fruit.

Christopher Turns 2

Today my baby boy turned two. We spent the day at Boulder Bay Park having fun with friends and family. The Arriaga family spent the day with us, minus Xavier. Rest In Peace Boo, we will all miss you. He would have loved to spend the day in Big Bear with us all.

July 7, 2008
After picking the kids up from Grandma's house I took them baths and they wanted to take some pictures to give to Daddy. He works late and doesn't usually get to see them when he gets home. Today Christopher said "cheese" for the first time and it was so cute. Look at his long hair, my mom and Robert both say "no" to cutting his hair again. If I have my way, his hair will be cut soon.
