It's been a while....

It's been a while since I have blogged, but there has been a lot going on. Recently found my husband's older sister. I searched her on My Space a few months ago and I finally received a response almost a month ago. We starting communicating by phone and email and we invited her to come and visit us this Thanksgiving. It was great spending the holiday with her and her family. Her name is Angel and she is 33 years old, with three children. Ricky 13, Diego 12, and Melody 9. I will be posting photos soon.

Carrie Underwood

So I just purchased tickets to see Carrie Underwood in concert. The show will be at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on November 5th.

Carrie Underwood is one of my favorite "American Idols". She has such a great singing voice. I love both of her CDs.

Dave Matthews Band

The concert was AWESOME! It was a very powerful concert. Dave Matthews sang his heart out and the band was unbelievable. The show from beginning to end amazed me. I have seen the band in concert a few times, but Dave Matthews was brake and brilliant. In the wake of one of the founding members passing on, I do not know how they were able to perform.

Rest in Peace Leroi Moore you will be missed. Your memory will live on through your music.

My Birthday

Today I spent my birthday with my family. All five of us went out for breakfast, then went to the park. The kids played on the swings and jungle gym. Vanessa had her first ride on the swings, she was smiling the entire time. Christopher was having fun on the slide, as well as running around the park.

Vanessa was hanging out in the stroller while dad was helping Christopher and Victoria on the slide. She is such a happy baby girl. I have the best kids. Vanessa loves having pictures taken of her, she's a big ham.

After the park we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner. Grandma made her famous Pozole. It was very delicious and super spicy, just the way I like it. Mom also made this for me last year on my birthday. I love it so much that last year I woke up in the middle of the night to have nice hot big bowl. I wanted more before it was all gone. Us Mexican's love us some Pozole!


After dinner everyone sang Happy Birthday to me and I blew out the candles. The kids love blowing out the candles so Grandma put a single candle on their pieces of cake and we sang to them and they blew out the candles. They are so cute, gotta love them.

Mom bought me this yummy cheese cake and a super cute Calvin Klein top. Love you mom!

Today

It is 12:53 a.m., which means it is my birthday today. I am now 33 years old. Gosh I feel OLD! It seems as though this year has gone by way to fast. I will be spending my birthday with my children and husband. We are going to go to church in the morning. Maybe we will take the kids to the park so they can play and have fun. Afterwords, we are are going to my mom's house for dinner. She is going to make Pozole, my favorite Mexican soup.

Dave Matthews Band

This Tuesday I will be going with my husband to see one of my favorite bands live in concert. Which band you ask? The Dave Matthews Band. They are one of the best bands ever. I can not wait, I hope they play all of my favorite songs like Crash, When the World Ends, American Baby, Stand Up, Satellite, Ants Marching, The Space Between, and Everyday. By the way this is my Birthday gift from my hubby. He purchased the tickets back in March.

Play Time

Vanessa loves to play with her toys. She is growing up so fast right before my eyes. She is crawling and starting to pull her self up. I think by her first birthday she will be walking. She is so much more advanced than Victoria and Christopher were at that age. Victoria and Christopher did not start walking until they were about 13 months old. They were lazy, but it looks as though Vanessa Rae wants to join them in all the fun they having running around.


She likes to play with the pop up toys, they keep her so entertained. I bought this for Christopher, but Vanessa took it over and she loves it.
